The Rolex 116518 is the full 18k yellow gold version of the Rolex Daytona, introduced in 2000 as part of the first generation of Daytona watches powered by Rolex's in-house Caliber 4130. It's a 40mm chronograph with a tachymeter-engraved bezel, three subdials, and screw-down pushers, built entirely in yellow gold from case to clasp. Over its production run, Rolex offered the 116518 with an impressive range of dial options, including champagne, black, blue Arabic numeral, mother-of-pearl, meteorite, and gem-set configurations. The reference was later updated as the 116518LN, which swapped the yellow gold bezel for a black Cerachrom ceramic bezel and added the Oysterflex rubber strap, before the entire line was replaced by the 126518LN in 2023.
