Pre-owned Rolex Submariner ref 16808 (1982) was essentially the yellow gold version of the ref. 16800. This generation of Submariners introduced the collection to several notable upgrades, including the higher-beat caliber 3035 self-winding Perpetual movement, an increased 300-meter depth rating, more resilient scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and a safer uni-directional diver's bezel. Early in this model's production, the dial featured nipple hour markers and was later upgraded to flat hour markers full of luminescent material, like the Rolex 16808 for sale here. The Tritium lume on this model has aged over time to a light golden color. Furthermore, the yellow-gold finish is paired with a striking blue dial and bezel.
