Rolex developed their first in-house Quartz movement in 1977, after 5 years of development. The OysterQuartz collection, which utilized this movement, was introduced during the height of the Quartz crises and included a Date, Datejust, and Day-Date variation. The collection includes a unique integrated style bracelet and a case with angular lugs, giving it a unique aesthetic that many preowned Rolex collectors seek. The ref. 19018 that you see here today is a Day-Date variation of the line that includes a stunning yellow gold finish, a matching champagne dial topped with a yellow gold display and Tritium lume, and a calibre 5055 Quartz movement. The OysterQuartz is a true collector's item and would be an intriguing addition to any luxury watch collection.
