Ref. 228239 is the current production white gold 40mm model, featuring a larger 40mm case (compared to the traditional 36mm model), a glittering fluted bezel, the famous three-link "President" bracelet, and the next-gen caliber 3255. What makes it special is the discontinued tapestry dial. Rolex no longer makes this motif, adding another layer of exclusivity to an already prestigious watch. On this model, the dial is silver to match the lustrous white gold finish and is decorated with slim Chromalight hour markers and matching hands. The day is spelled out in full at the 12-hour marker, and the date takes its usual place next ot the 3-hour marker.
