Pre-owned Rolex Day-Date 40 ref 228235 (2025). The Day-Date has stood as the hallmark of luxury and power since its introduction in the 1950s. Here, it takes on a slightly different identity than you might be used to seeing in Everose and with a larger 40mm case. The series debuted as a 36mm watch. Rolex started experimenting with larger sizes near the end of the 2000s, releasing the 41mm Datejust II. That watch was short-lived, though, and eventually bowed out to make room for the DD40 for sale here. Perfectly modern. Perfectly refined. It's furnished in Everose, Rolex's in-house rose gold alloy, and displays the time on a matching sundust dial via baguette-cut diamonds that serve as the traditional baton-style hour markers. Inside, Rolex has equipped the watch with its latest Day-Date movement, the calibre 3255, with a Double Quickset, a Paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring, high-performance Paraflex shock absorbers, and a 70-hour power reserve.
