Vintage Watch Condition Examination
This Tudor watch is in great vintage condition. The case is in great condition with some scratches and has been polished. The text on the caseback is all visible and crisp. The non-lume dial is in very good condition with some patina and marks/ scratches in the center; these can be hard to notice depending on the lighting and hand placement. The hour markers, hands, and "Big Rose" logo have developed patina. The edge of the dial shows some wear and has developed patina. The rivet Oyster bracelet is in great condition with some wear and stretch between the links which isn't uncommon for these.
Tudor Oyster 7934 Big Rose
This Tudor Oyster has a lot going for it in a relatively small package. The case measures just 10mm thick because it relies on a hand-wound movement instead of automatic. That's relatively svelte by today's standards and perfect for under a cuff. The dial is of the non-lume variety, which is particularly appealing because you don't need to worry about the lume flaking off as it ages. Lastly, this edition of the ref. 7934 has retro hour markers and the "Big Rose" logo at 12 o'clock - a lovely and unexpected detail. The popularity of vintage Tudor watches is on the rise. This ref. 7934 is an excellent opportunity to invest in a ref. 7934 for a fair price.
