Pre-owned Tudor Black Bay ref. 79220R (2013). Tudor announced the Heritage Black Bay collection during Baselworld 2012 via the ref. 79220R for sale here. As the inaugural model, it holds immense significance in what would eventually become one of the brand's most beloved and important collections. This early example, dating back to circa 2013, features a burgundy aluminum bezel and a black gilt dial with gold-toned text and a minute track. This vintage-inspired combination pays tribute to Tudor's early Submariners from the 1950s and '60s. Unlike later iterations, the 79220R is powered by the ETA 2824 movement, making it a favorite among purists and early collectors. The oversized crown, lack of crown guards, and domed sapphire crystal all reinforce the retro design language that sets the tone for the modern Black Bay family.
