This Bubbbleback is in overall good, honest condition with wear consistent with age. The case is in good condition with normal signs of wear with scratches and nicks. The caseback has some wear. The numbers are clearly visible between both sets of lugs. This watch has retained its correct pink gold "Rolex Oyster" crown. The "S&L ACERO Y ORO 14k" is still visible on the caseback. The dial is in good, attractive condition and has developed patina throughout. It has a small scratch between six and seven. The hour markers and hands have developed patina.

This watch has drilled lug holes on one side meaning that it was meant for a strap.

First off, it's two-tone pink gold and steel which is not very common and second it was originally retailed through Serpico & Laino who was a top watch retailer in Caracas, Venezuela from around 1930 to the mid-1960s. The company was founded by an Italian immigrant Leopold Serpico who initially focused on jewelry. Soon after the business started Vicente Laino joined and they started selling watches. In the 1930s they took a business trip to Switzerland and returned to Caracas with the exclusive distribution rights to Rolex, later they would become a Patek Philippe retailer. We have seen dual-signed watches from Rolex and Patek.
This watch is in overall great, honest condition and has developed a lovely patina on the dial that gives it some serious character. We love the non-lume dial with Arabic numerals combined with the leaf hands and blued seconds hand. When examining the caseback it's engraved "S&L ACERO Y ORO 14k" which translates to "Steel & Gold 14k" which describes the composition of the case. This is something S&L would engrave on the watches retailed through them and we have seen it before, its always great when its still intact.
Dual signed watches have become sought after and here is a good chance to own a not so common one. These Bubblebacks were originally indented for a mans wrist, but due to the size would be good for anyone and also make a great sharable watch for couples.
