Pre-owned Rolex Daytona ref 116519 (2000). The year 2000 was an important one for the Daytona. The famed chronograph, for the first time in Rolex history, was equipped with an in-house self-winding movement, the caliber 4130. One of the first watches to carry the movement was the Rolex 116519 for sale here. This model is a white gold Daytona with a matching white gold Tachymeter bezel, not black ceramic like on later-production models. Furthermore, these early 2000s Daytonas were initially outfitted with leather straps. As you might recall, Rolex no longer makes the Daytona on leather, so these discontinued models are really something special to find. This example takes on an even dressier aesthetic with a matching black dial dotted with brilliant-cut diamond hour markers.
