The vintage Datejust is often characterized by a thicker acrylic crystal over the dial, a Pie Pan dial with sloped edges, luminous material that has since aged to a warm patina, and an older-style case and bracelet. The ref 1603 is the stainless steel variation of the older-model Oyster Perpetual Datejust that pairs classic vintage features with a contrasting black dial and an engine-turned bezel. The five-piece link Jubilee bracelet is secured by a Fliplock clasp and offers a supple hold on the wrist for comfortable, all-day wear. The case features more generously tapered lugs than modern Datejust references and houses a calibre 1570 perpetual movement with self-winding technology and a date mechanism.
