The Patek Philippe Complications Chronograph ref. 5170G succeeds the ref. 5070G and brings with it a slightly smaller 39mm case diameter, a thickness of just 10mm, and more tapered lugs. Crafted from 18 karat white gold, the case takes on a sophisticated yet luxurious presence on the wrist and wears on a supple black alligator strap bracelet. The bracelet also features pull-tab spring bars that allow the wearer to remove the strap with ease, should they ever choose to switch it out. An Opaline dial displays the time via white gold Arabic markers and central hands. As its name "Complications" would suggest, the ref. 5170G boasts several functions, including a central chronograph seconds hand, elapsed minutes at 3 o'clock, and continuous seconds at 9 o'clock as well as a Pulsations scale around the perimeter of the dial itself.
