The Rolex 6517 Lady Date that is presented here today is a striking vintage example from the late 1960s or early 1970s. Its feature set includes a feminine Oyster case in stainless steel, a fluted bezel in yellow gold, and a matching champagne dial set with yellow gold index hour markers and hands, a Rolex logo at 12 o'clock, and the line's signature automatically changing date display at 3 o'clock. As an older pre-owned Rolex, the Tritium luminous material that appears on the dial has aged to a lovely patina. The ref. 6517 runs on a 26-jewel calibre 1161 perpetual movement that beats at a rate of 19,800 bph and has maintained an accurate reading over the past several decades. Additionally, the movement is protected within a case that was initially waterproof up to 100 meters and features an acrylic crystal over the dial.
