The 2011-2012 IWC Portuguese Yacht Club Chronograph Volvo Ocean Race edition was developed to acknowledge the Volvo Ocean Race Challenge, which involved traversing the globe in nine legs and included six different vessels. As a sponsor of the challenge, it was only natural that IWC would release a commemorative timepiece. The IW390212 offers a bold stance on the wrist without weighing it down via a 45.4mm titanium case diameter and a thickness of just 14.5mm, which is relatively thin considering the broad stance of the case itself. A black carbon fiber dial complements the titanium case and black rubber strap bracelet nicely and is set with silver Arabic markers, luminous sword-shaped hands, and a bold red seconds hand. Produced in limited quantities, this is your chance to add a distinct used IWC to your watch box.
