The Da Vinci collection is responsible for perhaps, the largest shift in the public’s perception of IWC, as the IW3750 was one of the most revolutionary models of its type ever made. Before its release in 1985, perpetual calendar timepieces were so largely understood as complex and fragile pieces, that their expensive nature hindered and almost prohibited those from wearing it in public. This very understanding is what separated the launch of the Da Vinci model as the first of its kind that quickly became the most user-friendly and accessible perpetual calendar watch available.
