Pre-owned Cartier Tank Americaine ref 1725 exudes class and sophistication like no other sub-model in the collection. For those unfamiliar, the Tank was officially released in 1919, drawing its inspiration from WWI war machines. The brancards are longer and extend out to form the lugs, creating a silhouette that resembles a tank cockpit from a bird's eye view. In 1989, following decades of massive success, Cartier released the Americaine sub-model. It follows the same design blueprint as the rest of the series but with an elongated case shape to appeal to collectors in the market for larger watches. Ref. 1725 is a handsome yellow-gold model with a luxurious leather strap. It displays the time on a silver guilloche dial via elegant Roman numerals and sword-shaped hands.
I know this is a pre-owned watch, but it looks almost new to me. I really like the square case too.
