This GMT is in overall great, vintage condition. The case is in good condition with normal signs of wear. The inside of the caseback is stamped "1675" and "II.72". The serial and reference numbers are visible. The bezel insert is a later service replacement and is in great condition with light wear; the colors have remained vibrant. The dial is in great condition with light patina. The lume on the dial has all aged to a creamy white color. The hands are later, luminova, service replacements. The American Oval Jubilee bracelet is in good, honest condition with wear and stretch between the links which is common for this style bracelet.
The inside top portion of the presentation box fell off at some point and was stuck in the bottom of the box under the green cuff that the watch goes on.
The reference 1675 is the second iteration of the original GMT Master and was offered in many variations. A handful of metal options were produced under ref. 1675, including the steel and gold like the example we have here. It pairs the two-tone finish with a beautiful brown dial with brown and gold bezel. However, what really sets this watch apart from other vintage Rolexes on the market are the charming yellow gold nipple hour markers and overall "Root beer" motif.
This example is coming directly from the original owner and has retained its box and papers which is always nice. When looking at the accompanying papers closely we can see the original retailer stamp on the papers and the booklet, we love when these little details line up. In addition, this also comes with its hangtag with corresponding serial number! We have seen increased demand in "Root Beer" GMTs and here is a good opportunity to get a fresh to market example!

I have worn this watch everyday for 47 years, had it cleaned every 8 or so years, had the bezel replaced with the new one back in the 80s. Paid $400 in Switzerland in 1970. This is the greatest lifetime deal ever!!
