This GMT is in great vintage condition. The case is in good condition with scratches and wear; it has been polished. The red-back bezel insert is in good condition with wear and scratches. The blue portion has faded a bit and shows wear along the edge. The matte black dial is in great condition with light patina and some marks that can be hard to notice. The edge of the dial at three has a little dark patina. The lume on the dial has aged to an attractive consistent pale yellow. The hands have developed patina. The lume in the hour and minutes hand has been color corrected/ relumed to match the other hands and is pretty close in color. The lume in the seconds hand is slightly darker than the other hands. The bracelet is in good condition with some wear and scratches. It has stretch between the links, the clasp shows signs of a previous polish. The crystal has some wear and scratches.
Rolex produced the GMT Master 16750 for about 7 years from 1981 to 1988. During that time, the watch became available with either a glossy or matte dial. The glossy variant had white gold-trimmed indices, while the matte edition did not. The matte variant, like this example is more desirable and gives the watch a distinctly vintage look. This reference is considered transitional because Rolex upgraded the movement, it now has a quick-set date, but kept the matte dial and acrylic crystal like the previous reference 1675. Rolex also used open 6s and 9s in the date wheel still which adds to the vintage charm. These matte dial 16750s offer a great blend of vintage and modern and are great to wear.

This was my first time working with Bob's and the process could not have been better from my perspective. The watch was a gift for my son who enjoys watches...this will be his 6th Rolex. I didn't participate in the conversations but he had several several questions which the staff fully answered. I entered when it was time to settle up. The customer service was great and the watch arrived very quickly. I'm not the the watch enthusiast in the family, but I see no reason why we wouldn't be looking for # 7 with Bob's as well.
