This GMT is in overall great, attractive condition. The case is in good condition with normal signs of wear. The inside caseback is stamped "1675 I.68." The numbers are clearly visible between both sets of lugs. The beautiful fuchsia bezel has faded throughout and has some scratches and wear throughout; the back of the bezel is fuchsia colored. This watch has retained its correct date wheel with closed 6s and hooked 7s. The dial is in great condition with light patina. The edge of the dial has a wear from four to six o'clock. The lume has developed patina and aged to a pleasing creamy color. The hands have developed patina and the lume in the hands has been color corrected/ relumed to match the color of the lume on the dial. This watch has a stainless C+I expanding rivet Oyster bracelet with 12 links. The clasp is stamped "1-67" indicating it is from 1967. The expanding bracelet is in overall great condition with some stretch between the links which is common for this style bracelet. Some links have more tension between the links when expanding and retracting than others. The presentation box is missing the cuff the watch would have gone on.
The GMT Master is Rolex's signature pilots watch, complete with dual-time capabilities. It came to market in 1955, with ref. 1675 following shortly after in 1959. It's one of the most sought-after vintage Rolex watches on the secondary market because of its instantly recognizable with its 24-hour bezel and dedicated GMT hand. The Rolex 1675 was also notably the first GMT Master to use crown guards. Rolex initially used glossy dials in the 1675 until around 1966 and switched to matte dials.
This circa 1968 example is in overall beautiful condition with it's nicely faded fuchsia bezel. Collectors refer to this dial variation as a Mark I "Long E." When looking at the "Rolex" text on the dial the "E" has a longer central bar (same length as the top and bottom ones) and that is where this nickname comes from. Rolex made many different variations of the 1675 and this example has a "fuchsia" bezel which gives the watch a completely different look compared to the more common blue & red "Pepsi."
This GMT has retained its box and papers which is always a bonus. When examining the papers, we see the "Your Rolex Oyster" booklet has the serial number hand-written and the chronometer papers has the serial punched and the corresponding movement number. This also comes with an interesting "clam shell" style Rolex box we don't see too often and a very cool GMT pamphlet. We noticed that the movement has the "ROW" import mark stamped indicating this watch was destined for the US market so the C&I USA bracelet makes sense - we love it when all the details line up! Fuchsia GMTs are highly sought after by collectors due to their rarity and aesthetic.
Great and easy transaction. Very professional and communicative. For sure a solid experience.
Great watch and very good help from Sam Berger who catered to my concerns.

Well represented watch in excellent condition. Super fast shipping. My second purchase from Bobs but not my last. Their watches seem to be in better condition than many of the others I’ve seen online.
The whole transaction process with Bob's is always top notch. The vintage watch was functioning as expected, the case is relatively strong with minimal polishing, and the dial is a beautiful service dial as expected.
I really like this beautiful 1675 with fuchsia bezel.
Quick e-mail responses, systematic
I have worn this watch everyday for 47 years, had it cleaned every 8 or so years, had the bezel replaced with the new one back in the 80s. Paid $400 in Switzerland in 1970. This is the greatest lifetime deal ever!!
