This Daytona is in overall good, vintage condition consistent with age. The case is in good condition with normal signs of wear. The numbers are clearly visible between the lugs. The inside caseback is stamped “6265;" which is not uncommon. We see this often times with vintage Daytona models since the case backs for different references were interchangeable. The caseback has a small, lightly hand-engraved number “293Q” on the edge. The watch has retained its correct P301 screw-down pushers and the bottom pusher has a little wear in the center. The mark 1 bezel is in overall good, honest condition with some scratches and a couple small areas of delamination. The dial is in overall good, attractive condition with patina. The sub-dials have developed some dark patina and show signs of wear around the edge and light scratches when looking closely. The lume plots on the dial have all aged to an attractive yellow color and some plots (2, 3, 6 o’clock) show signs of degradation. The hands have developed patina and the lume in the hands has aged to a similar yellow color as the lume on the dial. The C&I USA rivet Oyster has 11 links and the clasp is stamped “79” indicating is is from 1979. The bracelet is in good overall condition with normal signs of wear and some of stretch between the links which is not uncommon for this style bracelet. The crown, tube, and crystal are Rolex service replacements and the watch will come with the parts that came on the watch.
