The GMT Master was introduced in the 1950s. The concept behind the brand's iconic pilot's watch was initially developed by Rolex and the Pan American Company as a tool watch for the airline's pilots as they traversed the globe. The GMT Master line has since been discontinued and replaced by the GMT Master II, with the ref. 16700 being the last reference in the line. In addition to offering dual-time capabilities, the ref. 16700 also features a sapphire crystal over the dial, luminous hour markers in white gold surrounds, and a calibre 3175 perpetual movement with hacking, 28,800 bph, and a Quickset function. The preowned Rolex that is presented here today pairs the brushed stainless steel finish of the case and bracelet with a striking red and blue "Pepsi" bezel.
