Pre-owned Rolex GMT-Master II 16760 (1988) is an important model as the first in the GMT Master II series, replacing the original Rolex GMT and bringing with it an upgraded 24-hour hand that is independently adjustable from the other, centrally-mounted hands. A few important things to note are that the watch featured a thicker case to accommodate the then-new movement and 24-hour hand. Additionally, the ref. 16760 was only ever produced with the red and black "Coke" bezel. Its more robust profile earned the watch the unique nicknames Sophia Loren and Fat Lady. Rolex only made this model for a few years during the 1980s before discontinuing it and replacing it with the similar yet much sleeker ref. 16710. This model holds a special place in many watch collecting circles as a first-of Rolex and is ready to join your collection today.
