Tudor made a special run of these Black Bay watches in 2018 for the Metropolitan Police in England. Some collectors have dubbed this the "Royal Black Bay." By special request these were made in a run of 75 pieces and offered to the officers in the Royalty and Specialist Protection Unit or RaSP. This unit is responsible for protecting the Royal family, parliament, government officials, diplomats and responsible for protecting the Royal Residences. These watches were all originally sold through the Watches of Switzerland in London at Regent Street and that is where the original owner of this watch got it of course.
This watch is identical to a standard Black Bay Blue, but the text on the bottom half of the dial is replaced by the RaSP's logo which is a Tudor rose with a crown above. The caseback also a unique P number that is specific to each watch, the edition number, and name of unit in an arch around the edge. This watch is accompanied by its original box and guarantee card, the outer sleeve even has a corresponding "P number" which shows it was the one originally with the watch.
