Rolex OysterQuartz Datejust 17013
During the 1970's and 1980's, there was a surge in popularity in watches with Quartz movements. As Quartz watches quickly dominated the market, Rolex followed suit and released their own Quartz variations, including the two-tone reference 17013 that is listed here today. Similar in design to traditional Datejust watches, this men's dress reference utilizes a 36mm waterproof Oyster case outfitted with a fluted bezel and a jump date at the 3 position. A two-tone finish and contrasting matte blue dial also closely mirror the style of traditional Rolex Datejust watches. The case and bracelet, however, are noticeably different with sharp, angular lines and a retro style that is very reminiscent of the 70's and 80's.
