Its case is thicker than its predecessors to accommodate the addition of an independent 24-hour hand. Since its introduction, the GMT Master II has slimmed down considerably, making this particular reference highly collectible. This sports watch is only available with the red and black "Coke" bezel, which is paired with a black dial topped with contrasting luminous hour markers and sweeping hands. The bezel can be adjusted by the wearer to track up to three time zones at the same time, a function that was designed to help professional pilots all over the world sync to Greenwich Mean Time. The 40mm Oyster case features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, a waterproof screw-down crown, and a calibre 3085 self-winding movement. A secure flat link Oyster bracelet made of brushed stainless steel and an Oysterlock clasp provide a secure fit.
