Rolex GMT-Master 16753 - "Root Beer"
The Rolex GMT Master II reference 16753 is considered by many as a transitional model with the addition of an independent 24-hour hand, upgraded Oyster case that could now withstand up to 100 meters in the water, and a newer calibre 3075 perpetual movement developed by Rolex to include a Quickset date and 28,800 VPH. These modern additions paved the way for the newer GMT Master II models that are currently on the market. In production for a short time, between 1980 - 1988, the mens dress reference 16753 is a rare find. The combination of a Root Beer bezel and dark dial set with yellow gold nipple hour markers is very popular among collectors in the know.
