Vintage Watch Condition Examination:
This GMT is in great, honest vintage condition consistent with age. The case is strong with scratches and nicks. The service blue-back bezel is in good condition with wear and scratches; the red portion has faded throughout to a pinkish color and the blue color has remained strong. The matte dial is in excellent condition with light patina. The lume on the dial has developed patina and aged to a lovely custard color. The hands have developed patina and the lume in the hands have aged to a stronger yellow color than the lume on the dial. The GMT and seconds hand have a crack in the lume. The bracelet is in great condition with some wear and scratches; it has a bit of stretch between the links. The crystal has some wear.
Description: Rolex GMT-Master 16750 Pepsi
Rolex produced the GMT Master 16750 for about 7 years from 1981 to 1988. During that time, the watch became available with either a glossy or matte dial. The glossy variant had white gold-trimmed indices, while the matte edition did not. The latter matte variant, like this example is more desirable and gives the watch a distinctly vintage look. This reference is considered transitional because Rolex upgraded the movement, it now has a quick-set date, but kept the matte dial and acrylic crystal like the previous reference 1675. Rolex also used open 6s and 9s in the date, adding to the vintage charm.

The watch was just as described, in fact, better than described online. The transaction was simple, secure, and seamless.
This was my first time working with Bob's and the process could not have been better from my perspective. The watch was a gift for my son who enjoys watches...this will be his 6th Rolex. I didn't participate in the conversations but he had several several questions which the staff fully answered. I entered when it was time to settle up. The customer service was great and the watch arrived very quickly. I'm not the the watch enthusiast in the family, but I see no reason why we wouldn't be looking for # 7 with Bob's as well.
