Most people are familiar with the GMT’s history by now, asked by the Airlines Pan-am to make a watch for their pilots, Rolex created a timepiece that tells time in 2 time zones easily. While It may have taken a famous airlines to bring the GMT to life but there is an impressive list of famous people that have sported the Iconic timepiece through the years increasing its mystique as well. By doing s, they have made the GMT one of the most sought after watches in the catalog of “must have” timepieces: Daniel Craig, Clint Eastwood, Gerard Depardieu, Chuck Yeager, Keanu Reeves, Tom Selleck, Lance Armstrong, Dustin Hoffman, the list goes on and on. This 1675 GMT Master is a great piece! The newer, pepsi bezel insert gives this timepiece its iconic bi-color look that collectors adore. The matte black dial is in very good shape and there is chipping of the luminous material on several of the hour markers. Newer, replacement hands have been color matched to match the dial markers well. The recently polished case is nice and strong while the 78360 oyster bracelet with 13 links rounds out the piece quite well. The whole transaction process with Bob's is always top notch. The vintage watch was functioning as expected, the case is relatively strong with minimal polishing, and the dial is a beautiful service dial as expected.

I have worn this watch everyday for 47 years, had it cleaned every 8 or so years, had the bezel replaced with the new one back in the 80s. Paid $400 in Switzerland in 1970. This is the greatest lifetime deal ever!!
