Rolex Datejust Thunderbird 16264
The first official pilots watch, the Datejust Thunderbird is an iconic piece of Rolex watch history. It made its debut in 1945 alongside the now iconic Datejust dress watch and was the first timepiece to include a rotatable bezel, similar to the one seen here on this reference 16264. The bezel, along with a virtually indestructible Oyster case, provides pilots all over the world with the perfect tool watch. This particular reference features the classic design that accompanied the first Thunderbird Datejust with the addition of a stainless steel "Turn-o-graph" bezel and a 36mm Oyster case. A contrasting black dial pops against the all-steel construction of this timepiece and is topped with a white chapter ring, silver index hour markers, sweeping hands topped with lume, and a date aperture at the 3-hour marker.

This 1991 Rolex Datejust Turn-O-Graph arrived in excellent condition, with a white-gold rotating bezel which beautifully complimented the stainless steel case and jubilee bracelet. The watch was properly regulated to Rolex standards per my timegrapher. I am very pleased with this purchase.
