The Bob’s Watches 100K Challenge

Paul Altieri

Earlier this summer, we invited our audience to participate in a photo contest to commemorate reaching 100,000 followers on Instagram.

People from all over the world submitted photos of their favorite watches. Friends and judges voted on their favorite photos, and over the course of the month over 10,000 votes were cast. Thank you to everyone who participated in this event, and thank you so much to everyone who has followed us on Instagram. We are honored to be a part of such an amazing community.

1st Place – @SgWatchBaron

Fun fact: this gilt dial unpolished 6536 was purchased off of the original owner’s wrist. The first place winner will receive $300 in store credit!

Judges Prize – @rwinslow

The competition was stiff for the judges prize, but this amazing story was definitely worthy of our attention. Last year, our contestant climbed Kilimanjaro last year with a group of friends as part of a charity effort to help save children from trafficking. Together, they raised over $18k (USD). While he initially was worried about scratching his new Explorer, the watch came out unscathed. His parting words: “as a person I’m capable of anything – and if I can do it, so can you.”

Congrats, @rwinslow – you are our Judges Pick with a prize of $1,000 cash!
