The Mercedes hands, green and gold Rolex logo, and Arabic numerals were a far cry from the older Air-King, which more closely resembled a traditional Rolex dress watch. Sadly, Rolex discontinued this model in 2022 to make way for an upgraded version via ref. 126900. Collectors who appreciate ref. 116900's unique aesthetic and place in the Rolex history books will jump at the opportunity to add this revered model to their collection. Description of watch was actually understated in a good way. Rolex was in even better condition than advertised I assume in an attempt to manage expectations which were happily exceeded.
