For much of its 70-year production run, the Oyster Perpetual Datejust was only offered in a 36mm case diameter. In 2009, Rolex introduced the Datejust II, which brought with it a 41mm case, a newer bracelet, and a next-generation calibre 3136 Perpetual movement. While the case and newer Oyster bracelet are larger and more contemporary, the Datejust II maintains the classic style that has accompanied the line since 1945 via a striking fluted bezel in gold, the use of an automatic movement, and a jump date at the 3-hour marker on the dial. This newer preowned Datejust II also features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal fixed with a Cyclops magnifier, Yellow Rolesor, and a more reliable Oysterclasp.
