The Rolex 16803 is an earlier-model two-tone Submariner that was among the first Rolex dive watches to offer a steel and gold finish. The example that is presented here today is a handsome variation of the line that features a metallic blue dial topped with gold-trimmed luminous plots, a unidirectional timing bezel fitted with a blue aluminum insert and 60-minute graduations, and a calibre 3035 self-winding movement. The ref. 16803 maintains a traditional 40mm case size and wears on a flat-link Oyster bracelet closed by a folding Oysterlock clasp. Initially waterproof up to 300 meters, this secondhand Rolex has maintained a highly precise reading through the years
