While previous editions of the enduring "Air Series" watch featured a traditional dress watch aesthetic, the ref. 116900 embraces an undeniably sporty tool watch design that looks more on par with the likes of the Explorer and Milgauss. Most notable is the dial, which features design elements similar to the cockpit controls developed by Rolex for the Bloodhound Super Sonic car. The Rolex logo is presented in vibrant yellow and gold, and the hour markers are set with Arabic numerals. It's a fascinating piece of Rolex history that we suspect will one day be a cherished collector's item because it was the first in the series to sport such a unique design set.

Description of watch was actually understated in a good way. Rolex was in even better condition than advertised I assume in an attempt to manage expectations which were happily exceeded.
