Pre-owned Cartier Santos ref W2SA0006 (2019) is an established model by now, but when it was introduced in the late 1970s, it was the first in the French Maison's catalog to sport a two-tone finish. Two-tone watches would eventually become the norm, but the Santos de Cartier was among the first in the industry. Ref. W2SA0006 is a contemporary example of the series, featuring the Cartier caliber 1847 MC self-winding mechanical movement, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and a large 39.8MM x 47.5MM case. It sports all the usual Santos design codes, including the square-shaped case surrounded by a screw-dotted bezel, a faceted crown decorated with a blue cabochon, and an integrated bracelet with visible screws to match the bezel. This example also features the famous Cartier Roman numeral dial with sword-shaped hands and a black chemin de fer minute track.
