Tenzing Norgay and Sir Edmund Hillary were the first men to reach the summit of Mount Everest. During their treacherous climb to the world's tallest peak, it's rumored that one of those men was wearing a Rolex Oyster on their wrist. The timepiece maintained a reliable reading, despite the extreme conditions experienced on Everest. To celebrate this achievement, Rolex unveiled the Explorer mountaineer's tool watch. Its feature set includes a waterproof Oyster case and flat-link bracelet in resilient stainless steel as well as a protective crystal over the dial and a legible luminous display. The preowned Rolex 14270 that you see here today is a classic example of the line that displays the time via luminous baton and Arabic hour markers and luminous Mercedes hands.
