The first Rolex Air-King was introduced to market in 1945. The line was developed by Hans Wilsdorf in honor of the pilots of the British Royal Air Force and includes a modest feature set, a time-only function, and a 34mm case size. The ref. 114234 is a modern take on the classic Air-King that boasts an improved 904L-grade Oystersteel finish, a newer case with an engraved inner reflector ring and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, a flat-link Oyster bracelet closed by an Oysterclasp, and a contemporary dial topped with blue baton and Arabic hour markers.
