Tudor Oyster Prince Date-Day
Tudor was founded by Rolex's very own Hans Wilsdorf to offer the same high quality as the Big Crown but at much more obtainable price points. In the beginning, the Tudor catalog looked much more like the Rolex portfolio than it does today, even using many Rolex components, such as Rolex clasps, bracelets, and crowns. Many Tudor models closely resembled Rolex staples, such as the Day-Date.
The vintage Tudor 94510 Prince Day-Date is just one such example. Like the Rolex model, it also features the date at 3 o'clock and the day spelled out in full at 12 o'clock. What sets this watch apart is the fact that it boasts a stainless steel finish (the Day-Date is only produced in precious metal) and the wording on the dial. Instead of Perpetual, it features the distinction "Rotor Self-winding" because this Tudor is not powered by a Rolex Perpetual movement. Instead, it uses the caliber 2834. Additionally, it features the Tudor shield logo, where one would normally see the Rolex 5-point coronet. This pre-owned Tudor is an excellent chance to buy a quality Swiss luxury watch without breaking the bank.
