The history of the Rolex Datejust dates back to 1945. In production for over 70 years, the Datejust is one of the longest produced timepieces in the Rolex line. The Datejust also holds the title as the first Rolex timepiece to offer an automatically changing date display on its dial, a feature that sits at the 3-hour marker on this steel and white gold men's Rolex reference 16234. The Datejust ref. 16234 pairs a flat link Oyster bracelet and Fliplock clasp with a 36mm Oyster case and white gold fluted bezel. The case is hermetically sealed, allowing the Datejust to get wet up to 100 meters without damaging the calibre 3135 movement within. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the dial and allows the Datejust to maintain a handsome finish for years of wear.
