Similar to the inaugural reference that came to market in 1945, this contemporary example features a 36mm waterproof Oyster case topped with a sharply fluted bezel and worn on a five-link Jubilee bracelet. A concealed Crownclasp holds the bracelet secure and is virtually indistinguishable from the other links on the bracelet, save for a small Rolex coronet release. As a modern timepiece, the men's 116238 also boasts an engraved inner reflector ring as an anti-counterfeit measure, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal over the dial, and highly visibly luminous material.
