Description: Rolex Air-King 14000
Pre-owned Rolex Air King ref 14000 (2000) is a fascinating edition of the famous time-only dress watch. The model debuted in 1945 and was largely inspired by Royal Air Force pilots, who were rumored to favor their personal Rolex watches over their military-issued timepieces. The 14XXX series was released a few decades later, in the late 1980s, and introduced the collection to many "modern" design elements, such as a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a higher-beat movement. A few iterations, including the smooth bezel ref. 14000, came to market between the 1980s and mid-2000s. This example is a collector favorite because it pairs the stainless steel finish with a sharp black dial.
