Rolex OysterQuartz Day Date wood dial

The OysterQuartz series was produced during the Quartz Crises of the 1970s when the market saw a significant shift from mechanical watches to quartz. Rolex developed their own series powered by quartz movements developed and produced entirely in-house via the OysterQuartz.
The ref. 19018 is a handsome Day-Date edition. It features a similar design as the classic President's Day-Date with dual apertures on the dial, a handsome precious metal finish, and a 36mm Oyster case. What sets it apart from the Oyster Perpetual series is the Quartz movement beating within the case, the integrated bracelet, and the angular case. This example also features a rare wooden dial.
