The Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea debuted in 2008 and introduced the brand's collection of divers to its greatest depth rating yet, up to 3,900 meters/12,800 feet. The iconic deep saturation diver is equipped with an innovative Helium Escape Valve and a Ring Command system, both of which allow the case to resist the increased pressures at such incredible depths. The Deepsea is also equipped with Rolex's standard screw-down crown, and it also includes a thicker 5.5mm sapphire crystal. The Deepsea also features a uni-directional time-lapse bezel fitted with a ceramic insert and a larger Maxi luminous display. The edition that you see here today was developed to celebrate famous director and dive enthusiast James Cameron's record-breaking solo dive to the Mariana trench in 2012. The dial features a stunning D-Blue gradient that was created to mimic the way light travels through the ocean at varying depths.
