The OysterQuartz line was developed during the 1970s Quartz Crisis and is famously powered by a Quartz movement. It was released during a time when demand for battery-powered luxury watches threatened to topple the Swiss watchmaking industry, making it an incredibly important piece of Rolex history. This preowned Rolex 17000 is in excellent condition and displays the time on a matching silver dial via silver indices and hands and Tritium plots in a deep patina.
