When it officially hit the market in 1954, the watch was one of the first wrist-worn chronographs to include a circular slide rule, a mechanism that assists pilots in calculating in-flight statistics, such as speed and fuel consumption. This distinctive feature sets the Navitimer apart from other luxury watches and is a large part of the collection's massive success. Ref. AB0127E3 is a sophisticated iteration in stainless steel and leather. It features a striking brown and black dial to compliment the warm tones of the leather strap and a date mechanism tucked neatly between 4 and 5 o'clock.
